Hand-drawn cartoons, illustrations and other drawings seem to be a lost art (please pardon the pun). The founder of Harness Technology, Wendell T. Harness, has been an avid artist since childhood. He has created anything from simple, single-panel cartoons to full-fledged parody magazines.
An illustration is a displayed visualization form presented as a drawing, painting, photograph or other work of art that is created to elucidate or dictate sensual information (such as a story, poem or newspaper article) by providing a visual representation graphically.
Wendell’s hybrid style of art typically consists of pen-and-ink for the base drawings coupled with digital coloring and sometimes shading. For strictly black-and-white drawings, he uses the pen-and-ink method of drawing, but uses various forms of hatching for shading and contouring. Wendell has also been known to transform photographic portaits of people into cartoons for use as avatars on website forums and social networking sites.
Many of Wendell’s works have been featured in trade magazines, books, greeting cards and other forms of both print and online media. If you enjoy traditional hand-drawn artwork and/or in need of same for you next project, we invite you to contact us and let us know how we can help.
