We specialize in building web sites that you can update yourself. Each page can be created and/or updated using a built-in What-You-See-Is-What-You-Get (WYSIWYG) editor. If you can use Microsoft Word or other word processor, you will find our WYSIWYG editor very easy to use.

How Do We Do It?

Over the years, we've done a lot of research into the best way to serve our customers with self-editable web sites. For many years, we've been using a web application toolkit called Zikula. Fortunately for you and us, Zikula is a very powerful system that allows us to customize it to your needs. We have heavily customized it to bring you a simple way to keep your web site up-to-date while maintaining the healthy and secure core that Zikula provides. The Process Of Building Your Site

We have developed a process for building web sites, which is applicable for most clients. Generally speaking, here's what you can expect to happen:

• Once we agree that Harness Technology will build your web site, you send us a list of example sites that show layout, colors and/or functionality that you want your site to have. It is often helpful if you send links to competitor sites as well.
• We create a conceptual design for your site and send it to you as an image. You review the concept and provide us with revisions. This step repeats until we have settled on a final design. Please note that it is very important that the design be finalized at this stage.
  
• We then begin transforming your site from conceptual design into a working site. The code is placed in a temporary location where you can watch our progress. If applicable, we may ask you to test custom features.
• Your new site is now moved to its permanent location and made live for all the world to see.
  

Paying For Your Web Site

Typically, we ask for a 25% down payment prior to commencement of services. This helps to cover initial expenses and shows that you are a serious customer. Then, just prior to completing the last phase of the process above, we ask for the remainder. Since hosting is free for the first 12 months, you do not have to worry about that at this time.
